You will probably have to have a graphics card with a lot of power. Since graphics cards are expensive, you can also get a dedicated video card.

If your PC is overheating, you can try to cool it down by putting it on a piece of ice or in an ice bath. This should slow down the game and give it more time to load.

the 3d-party DLC don't match with the game engine.
to play it on win xp or lower, you need to uninstall the game, install the dlc from steam and install the game again.
or the game got some memory problems. it can be fixed by running it in compatibility mode and the compatibility mode on its cd/dvd or in the steam folder.
